Battle at the River

The chaos forces were moving unhindered along the river, Farseer Nivek could stand it no-longer. Nivek led his guardians to the river, joined by the wraithlords I'mmortal and Hexonox, as well as pathfinders and a troupe of harlequins.
The mission was to deal as much damage to the chaos forces while holding ground with each guardian squad being supported by a wraithlord.
At first the chaos vehicles attempted to hide behind plumes of smoke, but the eldar guns were still taking a toll. Long-ranged fire targeted exposed infantry and slice through smoke.
The harlequins arrowed into the chaos line moments after their fusion and shrieker shots hit. The troupe launched their assault upon the hated Black Legion. In a blurr of diamonds marines began to die.
I'mmortal was taking point, and instantly earned the attentions of Mr. Huggy. The daemon prince pointed at the wraithlord and his tanks fired. The wraithlord was blasted to bits.
The chaos marines used their fell-sorcery to summon lesser daemons in an attempt to deal with the troupe.
The forward guardians were the target of much firepower, and they were destroyed. The jetbike squadron moved in to fill the gap, this only served to anger Mr. Huggy further.
With the daemons shredded, and few Legion troops left, terminators were dispatched to deal with the troupe. The massed fire of the terminators, remaining Black Legion and the havoc squad finally took them out.
The main gambit was the fight between the jetbikes and daemon prince. The warlock failed to deal the last wound to the daemon, so he cut all of them down.
The chaos forces had taken, and held, the battlefield while bringing the eldar numbers low enough to emerge victorious.
