This is Homer, my cyborg gorilla. This mini is from Reaper's Chronoscope range and was taunting me each time I entered my flgs. He would be hanging there, yelling about how much I needed a random ape, which I honestly do. Since they were having a 2 for 1 sale on Reaper stuff, I gave in.

This model was like that crazy chick you meet at the bar; fast, fun, and easy. I based him on a medium base with the (now) standard adventuring party theme of cobblestones. The big guy came with a selection of four different hand options, I went with the fist/drill combo for brutality's sake.

I started painting the fuzz, drybrushing up from ironhull grey (p3), through codex grey (gw) to fortress grey (gw) with a black wash. The skin was basecoated with idrian flesh (p3), midtoned with tanned flesh (gw), and highlighted with dwarf flesh (gw) and an ogryn flesh wash. The metal I wanted to keep rusty, so I started with bestial brown with a splotchy coat of solar orange, a drybrush of boltgun metal (all gw) with a devlan mud wash. For the tarnished copper I started with blighted gold (p3), then shining gold (gw), highlighted with radiant platinum (p3) and a wash of thrakka green.

Hope you like him! Until next round.
