We do it for the fun of it.

Kin War

Ayahuasca looked across towards the source of the psykic disturbance. The webway began to open and the dark kin spilled forth.
They were fast, the incubi leaping from their raider into combat, lead by their archon.
As the scorpions were cut down, their wytch cult advanced into the wraithbone ruins.
Asyrmen and Jayha responded, bringing their aspect warriors to the fore.
The war walkers, charged with bringing down the transports and pain-engines, were under constant dark lance fire.
Scourges began harassing the outcasts, sniper and laser fire was enough to reduce their numbers. The small copse of trees became the centre of an intense firefight.
Politikil, lead by Asyrmen, dove into the dark kin's ranks. But the dark eldar were high on pain, and few of their number fell.
Combat was truly joined as crisscrossing lines of laser, splinter and shuriken fire found their marks. Shooting was close ranged, and combats were bloody and fast.
Politikil became the main target. They sold their lives dearly.
The dark kin had taken the ruins with numbers and ferocity. Curse their fell power.
Until next time....

Egg Hunt ReDux

There were still more eggs left over deep in the jungle.
The warriors of Hive Fester were sent by the Hive mind to recover their chocolate young. Frankie was sent in support. The indigenous were no match for their bio-weapons.
Dez's swarms flew in and began massing in the ruins.
The first sign of opposition was sighted. Grotesque spawn-things lurching about, consuming any egg that they encountered.
The snake was resisting the Hive mind, but it soon fell to devourer beetles.

Veterans from the first Egg Hunt, Wolfram's plague marines began a sequenced search of the area.
The daemon prince spots the tyranid swarms and sends a psykic call into the warp.
The gargoyles take aim at the spawns, causing little damage.
Daemons began appearing. Flamers scorched a wave of gargoyles, but there was still more than enough left.
Firing the occasional strangler shot, the warriors of Fester collected eggs.
Frankie sees daemonettes appearing, and tries to stay out of their sight. The warriors behind him try to get line of sight...
Dez's gaunts happily fill up their egg bucket, having missed the last Egg Hunt.

Having eaten the spawns, the gaunts receive the attentions of the deamon prince, who had just finished off the gargoyles. (Along with massed bolter fire...)
Having left the shrikes alone, they attempted to get to grips with the plague marines. Plague marines do not fall easy...
Hidden from most of the fighting, Dez's broodlord began leading his swarm into the untouched, and egg rich, corner of the board.
Frankie's old adversary, Lilith, showed up spraying him with shooting.
Frankie responded with repeated clubbing of his claws.
She, in turn, exploded. The carnifex would carry his wound proudly.
The plague marines finally got to grips with the gaunts, who had used massed poison attacks to bring down their leader. Plague marines don't die, the gaunts did.
The warriors closed in on the deamons, shooting the entire time to thin their numbers.
The large bugs were able to deal much more damage than their targets, although Brain Bug went down.
The other warriors were sneaking up on the plague marines, who were slightly fewer in number.
Eggs were won. Eggs were eaten. Eggs were corrupted.
Good Game.

45 Osceles

After the battlefield command was transfered, the Rashidiman veterans were sent to inform the Inquisitor. He was currently involved with research at the Shrine of the Advent.
Imperial forces left the Hive from the Eastern Gate, avoiding the main road.
At the designation point, 45 Osceles, heretic forces struck. Traitor marine forces struck in the early morning of the second day.
The sentinels fired numerous lascannon blasts at the enemy vindicator, but it wouldn't die. Even the h-k's missed, but they were holding the left flank well enough.
A raptor squad received the short end of the stick as they dropped in front of the ragnarok.
With Sgt. Fluke's boys helping, only their champion was left.
So the vile creature summoned daemons and charged.
On the other side of the battle-tank terminators appeared in full force. Guardsmen were shredded by bolter fire. The sniper ceased to exist.
And there was more, the heretics had a drop-bastion in reserve, full of angry berserkers, which fell directly in the guard line. Guardsmen died in droves.
A member of the heavy mortar squad was touched by the hell opening around them, combats were everywhere..."Fred...are you OK?"....
The arrival of the airborne rejuvenated the Imperials. The bastion was targeted and destroyed, and fresh units were brought to the field. The psyker choir dropped beside the berserkers and cooked them alive within their armor.
Three powerfists clashed, and the champion of the Blood God was struck down.
So great was the fury of the ragnarok that the enemy terminators backed away, although many of them were still alive.
The air-support concentrated on the central objective, reducing the deamons holding it to goo.
With one objective held by each side, the battle was a draw. Only by the guiding light of the Emperor was defeat averted.

The Ninja Den: Part Two

The chaos forces, both daemon and marine, were embroiled in firefights, which had the effect of keeping some of the heat off the eldar forces.
Cautiously, the eldar front began to advance into the center, lead by the seer council's falcon.
The fire dragons, having failed to stop the chaos marines escaping with the platypus, went after an easier target, the loyalist land raider.
This is what the epicenter of the chaos marine forces, an unbreakable collection of heavy firepower and combat troops.
Caught between the marines and the eldar, the daemons were getting targeted from both sides.
The striking scorpions were admirable, defending the lower platform from daemons, allowing the pathfinders to fire at will (who's will?)
Crysanthimum, the fire prism chosen for this mission, sprayed accurate globes of fire at everything. It is now the squadron leader (unlike the other prism that can't hit anything).
The pathfinders, with pinpoint accuracy, shot down the raptor attempting to escape with the platypus.
The jetbike/fury combat was still at a standstill. Meanwhile, the vypers' death toll continued to increase (best 140 points I ever spent!)
The fire dragons succeeded in blowing up the land raider, job done, time to go home...
Endai's council struck deep into the deamon forces, their psychic flame purifying the nice green grass of deamons.
Asyrmen grabbed the platypus from the chaos forces. Every phoenix lord needs a pet platypus....
With the awesome firepower of the eldrich, no daemons were able to cross the river and live. The wraithbone ruins were left untouched by evil

The chaos marines were angry, and dropped some ordinance on the phoenix's squad and transport, but eldar reflexes and fields were proof against such shooting.
As the battle ended, the ork horde had accidentally taken three objecives and the eldar had two. Two objectives were contested by daemons, while the marines had taken too many casualties. Go xenos!

The awesome game had come to an end. Until next time Ninja Den, good game.
