Who We Are

Based in Victoria BC, we are a mixed group of dice-rolling gamers. As a group we try to encourage all types of interactive games and hobbies as an expressive way to enjoy ourselves.

We do it for the fun of it.

Escalation I - The War Heats Up

Escalation means new players and new forces. Fresh from the forges, a new Menoth playersets forth to burn some heretics!

Our second Khador player emerges, with the Butcher at the lead.
 Grrrr!

Beating up the trolls wasn't enough for the Butcher...
...so Terminus came out to play a bigger game (non-Escalation).

"All your souls r belong to me!"

 Eregore faces off against Thagrosh...
 ...so many dirty tricks....

 "Oh look! A puppy!"

The Cryxians rebuild themselves in time to attack the trolls...

...and the trolls are trashed.  (Off to regen...)
 "Wait, what?  More Khador?!"

With one wound each, the casters face off.  Not to be disgraced again, Gunnbjorn defends himself against Kharchev, axe vs axe, and wins!
Still pretty pissed, Mr. Terrible attacks the Coven.  (picking on the little guys eh?)

With Kharchev wounded and bound, his lackeys charge into the coven.
The Escalation League is off to a good start, until next round...

Man vs Beast

Man Empire, from the deep wild we march,
We hath much anger and wrath,
With jagged claw and ragged tooth,
We come to take the life you have.
 Your assemblage of might,
 Means more flesh to devour.
 Spear, sword and cursed bullet,
 Life is measured in hours.
 Unspeakable creatures, divine
With the cunning of elder gods,
And sorcery of fowl winds, we take
And offer blood, and bone, to gods.
 Surrounded by chaos, fear,
 Like night, of blackest shadow.
 Fill our guts with yours,
And attack you again the morrow.
*Translated from a nearby herdstone.*

Escalation 1 - 1

The RHG Escalation League begins at ten points each.  Each of the adversaries add another ten points each month until we reach 50, five months from now.  Each force is venturing into the Northern Thornwood, a place of strange quiet.
Rumors of Steamtown have spread far, that the iron liches have become silent and the undead have left the ghost town.  For many reasons, the various factions have begun to cautiously move into the area.  Captain Gunnbjorn knows of the rich mineral deposits feeding the mines near Steamtown, and under a temporary truce with Cassius, moves across the Red Sands towards the Thornwood.
The enemy, according to scouts, are dragonspawn.  The Eregore and Thagrosh are also moving their forces through the area.  Near the Fountain of Femme, the two forces meet.
The trolls unleash thunderous firepower, but watch in dismay as Cassius is taken down by carnivean.  The tide of battle falls unfavorably.
Increasingly surrounded by both metal and flesh bound horrors, Gunnbjorn resolutely inflicts as much damage as possible.  Thagrosh takes a direct hit from the bazooka, but lives.
Alone, the troll finally falls to a sickening amount of attacks.  Victory is earned by Eregore and Thagrosh, while Cassius and Gunnbjorn plan their next moves.

The Battle that never happened

The Orcs set up camp in the Tyranid Hive prepared to fight, their red shoes and machines at the ready.

It seems the Tyranids are preparing their young awaiting the hatching day.

The Hive Tyrant spots the intruders with its many heads and alerts its troops. Some of the Genestealers busy themselves with other things.

More Tyranids join in to the impending battle.

The Harpy spots the targets as her body glows electric from the glow of the luminescent hive walls.

The Orcs see the red forces.

The stare down before the battle seems to last for hours. Both forces simultaneously decide to forgo battle. The Orcs leave and the Tyranids continue their harvest.

There may be any number of reasons why these two did not fight, but only they will ever know. This will forever be known as The Battle that never happened...

Shadow and Terror

In the confines of Steamtown Cryx and Khador engage again.  At the fore, Deathjack and the Behemoth race towards each other.
The heavy Khador troopers advance alongside their warjacks within sorcerous snowstorms.  The helljacks race forward, often becoming ghostly to pass through obstructions.
The 'brute squad' eyes their target, this one is a tough one...
The two giants clash heavily, with the Behemoth getting the charge.  From on high the Dice Gods show disfavour upon the unpainted, and Behemoth misses with all his attacks.
The sky darkens as Deathjack tears into Khador steel.  Maelovous moves in for the kill, transmuting the heavy 'jack into a leviathan.
Mr. Terrible charges into melee and is eventually cut down by angry helljacks.

Praise to Trading!

This post contains a mixture of models old edition, new edition, built by me, built by my friend, painted by me, painted by my friend... also we are both huge converters. I did a great big trade with him and so I have the opportunity to do something I am particularly fond of, which is remaking and refreshing an entire army according to my own vision, and the other stuff I have lying around.

Aspiring Sorcerer and Thousand Sons.

Predator of Tzeentch.

I finally have a proper ride for Dragger and his unit.

Khorne Berzerkers.

I think the Phasian sector may see an uptick in Scream Walker activity.
'Til next time, cheerio!
