Who We Are

Based in Victoria BC, we are a mixed group of dice-rolling gamers. As a group we try to encourage all types of interactive games and hobbies as an expressive way to enjoy ourselves.

We do it for the fun of it.

Trouble Brewing

It's been a while since I've been electrically active. Thanks for keeping it warm with wonderful stuff to see, and here is my Cygor / Ghorgon siblings WIP.

I call the Ghorgon "Mother Ignorance."

Until next time, om, nom nom.

Meanwhile, at the Brewery...

The first skirmish at the Brewery was between Skarre and Asphyxious. The pirate queen brought her usual crew of raiders, while the Withershadow combine accompanied the iron lich. Both sides dived into combat at speed.

Asphyxious seized the upper hand with the aid of his mages and liches and took the Brewery.
The second skirmish saw Rhyas attack during Deneghra's watch. The warwitch had hired Boomhowler as a bodyguard, while the blighted ninja brough out a couple of big nasties (and a reindeer). The legion beasts hit the troll line hard, but they held firm while the helljacks attempted a counterattack.
Roland, the pistol wraith, spotted Ryhas and was sliced to pieces by her. Deneghra used the opportunity to get into melee with her, she lasted two rounds. It was close, but legion took the Brewery.

Adventuring Party - Angry Ape

This is Homer, my cyborg gorilla. This mini is from Reaper's Chronoscope range and was taunting me each time I entered my flgs. He would be hanging there, yelling about how much I needed a random ape, which I honestly do. Since they were having a 2 for 1 sale on Reaper stuff, I gave in.
This model was like that crazy chick you meet at the bar; fast, fun, and easy. I based him on a medium base with the (now) standard adventuring party theme of cobblestones. The big guy came with a selection of four different hand options, I went with the fist/drill combo for brutality's sake.
I started painting the fuzz, drybrushing up from ironhull grey (p3), through codex grey (gw) to fortress grey (gw) with a black wash. The skin was basecoated with idrian flesh (p3), midtoned with tanned flesh (gw), and highlighted with dwarf flesh (gw) and an ogryn flesh wash. The metal I wanted to keep rusty, so I started with bestial brown with a splotchy coat of solar orange, a drybrush of boltgun metal (all gw) with a devlan mud wash. For the tarnished copper I started with blighted gold (p3), then shining gold (gw), highlighted with radiant platinum (p3) and a wash of thrakka green. Hope you like him! Until next round.
